Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Materials and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which rose 2.74% or 3.8 points to trade at 142.4 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 0.96% or 1.70 points to end at 179.40 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.62% or 0.44 points to 70.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 4.86% or 2.70 points to trade at 52.80 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.54% or 0.67 points to end at 18.11 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) shed 3.29% or 1.350 points to 39.650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 60 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.00% or 1.62 to $52.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.98% or 1.87 to hit $60.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1282.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.42% to 9.7684, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 8.5985.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.953.
