Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Telecoms and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 4.76% or 2.000 points to trade at 44.000 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 3.12% or 7.8 points to end at 258.2 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.76% or 7.80 points to 290.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.31% or 0.90 points to trade at 20.00 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.77% or 3.55 points to end at 124.70 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 0.23% or 0.10 points to 43.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 70 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.28% or 0.70 to $53.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $62.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1317.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.6770, while USD/NOK rose 0.33% to 8.4861.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 95.847.
