Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.30% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 10.66% or 15.10 points to trade at 156.70 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) added 5.30% or 0.16 points to end at 3.12 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 4.49% or 0.49 points to 11.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which lost 3.48% or 4.60 points to trade at 127.60 in late trade. Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) declined 3.39% or 1.52 points to end at 43.26 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 2.87% or 1.75 points to 59.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 164 to 116 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.91% or 2.07 to $69.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.75% or 2.05 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.93% or 80.15 to trade at $2,657.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 11.64, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 11.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 106.93.
