Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which rose 1.48% or 1.80 points to trade at 123.65 at the close. ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) added 0.68% or 4.00 points to end at 589.40 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 0.47% or 0.11 points to 23.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Exor NV (AS:EXOR), which lost 3.85% or 3.85 points to trade at 96.15 in late trade. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 2.26% or 3.50 points to end at 151.30 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) shed 1.71% or 1.10 points to 63.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 61 to 39 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.04% or 0.71 to $68.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.03% or 0.74 to hit $72.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 12.00 to trade at $2,656.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 100.38.
