Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were NN Group NV (AS:NN), which rose 1.16% or 0.52 points to trade at 45.28 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 0.84% or 0.13 points to end at 15.78 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 0.67% or 0.11 points to 15.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which lost 4.12% or 24.60 points to trade at 571.80 in late trade. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 2.55% or 2.85 points to end at 108.90 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) shed 2.22% or 31.00 points to 1,366.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 38 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.00% or 2.20 to $75.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.04% or 2.33 to hit $78.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 16.75 to trade at $2,642.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.72.
