Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 3.66% or 5.20 points to trade at 147.45 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 2.09% or 0.89 points to end at 43.39 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 1.77% or 9.00 points to 517.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which lost 2.26% or 0.75 points to trade at 32.50 in late trade. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) declined 1.42% or 0.09 points to end at 6.11 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) shed 0.96% or 0.45 points to 46.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 59 to 41 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.32% or 0.90 to $67.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.14% or 0.82 to hit $71.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.64 to trade at $2,661.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.00.
