Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 2.40% or 30.60 points to trade at 1,303.20 at the close. ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) added 2.10% or 0.32 points to end at 15.54 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 1.49% or 7.60 points to 516.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG), which lost 1.31% or 0.31 points to trade at 23.40 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 0.63% or 0.15 points to end at 23.76 and Prosus (AS:PRX) shed 0.29% or 0.11 points to 38.33.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 28 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.98% or 2.10 to $68.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.67% or 1.97 to hit $71.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.75% or 74.10 to trade at $2,620.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 105.42.
