Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 1.65% or 2.30 points to trade at 141.50 at the close. ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) added 1.28% or 7.20 points to end at 570.00 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 1.24% or 0.49 points to 40.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prosus (AS:PRX), which lost 0.97% or 0.38 points to trade at 38.90 in late trade. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) declined 0.18% or 0.01 points to end at 5.61 and Exor NV (AS:EXOR) shed 0.06% or 0.05 points to 88.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.20% or 0.14 to $69.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $73.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.66 to trade at $2,648.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 107.89.
