Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Insurance and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.96% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lydec (CS:LYD), which rose 5.43% or 31.00 points to trade at 602.00 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) added 5.16% or 7.95 points to end at 162.00 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 5.03% or 83 points to 1733 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 9.63% or 2.98 points to trade at 27.97 in late trade. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) declined 9.09% or 4.00 points to end at 40.00 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) shed 7.79% or 380 points to 4500.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.30% or 2.25 to $70.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.03% or 1.51 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.10 to trade at $1261.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 11.0830, while USD/MAD rose 0.17% to 9.4975.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 94.28.
