Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Software & Computer Services and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which rose 8.80% or 11.00 points to trade at 136.00 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 7.88% or 1.90 points to end at 26.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 3.81% or 4.95 points to 134.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which lost 9.76% or 3.70 points to trade at 34.20 in late trade. Disway SA (CS:DWY) declined 2.78% or 10.00 points to end at 350.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 1.67% or 0.34 points to 20.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.60% or 1.90 to $71.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.74% or 2.28 to hit $80.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.61% or 31.20 to trade at $1224.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 10.9190, while USD/MAD fell 0.37% to 9.4340.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 94.86.
