Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Utilities and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Oulmes (CS:OULM), which rose 4.08% or 49 points to trade at 1250 at the close. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) added 2.45% or 31.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) was up 2.17% or 4.35 points to 204.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Colorado (CS:COL), which lost 6.99% or 5.30 points to trade at 70.50 in late trade. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 6.49% or 6.49 points to end at 93.51 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 6.01% or 1.35 points to 21.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $72.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1219.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.15% to 10.9430, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.4669.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 95.32.
