Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA), which rose 1.88% or 0.530 points to trade at 28.680 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 1.82% or 0.380 points to end at 21.260 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) was up 1.37% or 1.170 points to 86.570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 2.85% or 14.220 points to trade at 484.940 in late trade. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) declined 2.50% or 0.78 points to end at 30.45 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) shed 2.40% or 0.590 points to 24.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 210 to 69 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.51% or 6.10 to $1197.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.09% or 0.58 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $55.31 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.07% to 20.7717, while EUR/MXN fell 0.04% to 22.2225.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 100.42.
