Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 2.02% or 1.65 points to trade at 83.25 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) added 2.01% or 3.35 points to end at 170.10 and Coca Cola Femsa SAB De CV (MX:KOFL) was up 1.99% or 2.27 points to 116.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which lost 8.24% or 1.95 points to trade at 21.72 in late trade. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 3.04% or 0.640 points to end at 20.400 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) shed 2.74% or 0.29 points to 10.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 153 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.21% or 2.70 to $1298.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.86% or 1.27 to hit $66.94 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $77.66 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.93% to 19.9113, while EUR/MXN rose 1.20% to 23.2874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.95.
