Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which rose 3.29% or 11.34 points to trade at 355.72 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 3.15% or 9.70 points to end at 317.50 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 2.89% or 5.61 points to 199.97 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which lost 0.96% or 1.18 points to trade at 122.21 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB de CV Class B (MX:BSMXB) declined 0.85% or 0.260 points to end at 30.370 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) shed 0.77% or 1.40 points to 181.52.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 148 to 147 and 11 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1201.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.45% or 0.30 to hit $66.90 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.32% or 0.23 to trade at $72.38 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.23% to 18.8871, while EUR/MXN fell 1.76% to 21.4268.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 96.56.
