Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB), which rose 3.83% or 4.750 points to trade at 128.760 at the close. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) added 2.12% or 0.33 points to end at 15.89 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was up 2.07% or 0.32 points to 15.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 2.38% or 7.55 points to trade at 310.28 in late trade. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) declined 2.19% or 1.180 points to end at 52.760 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) shed 1.84% or 0.600 points to 32.080.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 152 to 131 and 20 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 2.80 to $1202.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.24% or 2.19 to hit $69.73 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.66% or 2.06 to trade at $79.43 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.52% to 19.1711, while EUR/MXN fell 0.50% to 22.2318.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.11.
