Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Materials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 1.86% or 1.87 points to trade at 102.45 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) added 1.44% or 1.650 points to end at 116.370 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was up 1.20% or 1.24 points to 104.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which lost 2.39% or 0.800 points to trade at 32.740 in late trade. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) declined 2.05% or 1.330 points to end at 63.530 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) shed 1.81% or 0.55 points to 29.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 136 to 114 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 6.25 to $1275.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.71% or 0.41 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $63.55 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.00% to 19.1517, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 22.1943.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.81.
