Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA), which rose 2.88% or 22.50 points to trade at 802.48 at the close. America Movil SAB de CV (MX:AMXL) added 1.49% or 0.250 points to end at 17.000 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was up 1.35% or 0.790 points to 59.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which lost 3.24% or 1.110 points to trade at 33.150 in late trade. Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) declined 2.88% or 3.05 points to end at 102.83 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) shed 2.50% or 0.660 points to 25.700.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 65 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.70% or 9.05 to $1305.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.77 to hit $51.37 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.64% or 0.92 to trade at $57.17 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 18.9224, while EUR/MXN rose 0.01% to 22.3717.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 92.91.
