Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Staples and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 2.87% or 0.710 points to trade at 25.440 at the close. Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESB1) added 3.09% or 0.340 points to end at 11.340 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) was up 2.92% or 3.310 points to 116.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which lost 2.62% or 0.92 points to trade at 34.14 in late trade. America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) declined 2.44% or 0.270 points to end at 10.780 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) shed 2.15% or 4.050 points to 184.470.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 80 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 1.30% or 17.45 to $1358.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.75% or 0.31 to hit $41.45 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.39% or 0.17 to trade at $43.40 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.73% to 18.7546, while EUR/MXN rose 0.17% to 20.9625.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.21% at 95.52.
