Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 1.17% or 1.10 points to trade at 94.95 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) added 1.05% or 0.030 points to end at 2.876 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 0.91% or 0.21 points to 23.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which lost 4.34% or 0.480 points to trade at 10.590 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 3.23% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.6895 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) shed 2.17% or 0.63 points to 28.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 272 to 104 and 11 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.23% or 0.13 to $56.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.50 to hit $63.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.52 to trade at $1278.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8898.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.47.
