Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 2.43% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.81 at the close. Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) added 1.45% or 1.20 points to end at 84.00 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.40% or 0.05 points to 3.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.45% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.22 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 1.24% or 0.06 points to end at 4.71 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) shed 1.04% or 0.15 points to 14.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 268 to 187 and 48 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.24% or 1.79 to $78.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.66 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.60 to trade at $2,508.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.68.
