Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI), which rose 1.66% or 0.24 points to trade at 14.74 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.26% or 0.03 points to end at 2.42 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) was up 1.25% or 0.78 points to 63.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which lost 2.88% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.32% or 0.44 points to end at 18.38 and Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) shed 1.95% or 0.59 points to 29.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 262 to 237 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.16% or 1.69 to $76.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.91% or 1.57 to hit $80.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 10.55 to trade at $2,405.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.20.
