Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 3.02% or 510 points to trade at 17420 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 1.52% or 85 points to end at 5662 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) was up 1.49% or 29 points to 1980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 6.01% or 431 points to trade at 6735 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 4.28% or 45 points to end at 1007 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 3.78% or 78 points to 1985.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 211 to 164 and 43 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.56% or 1.38 to $52.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.63% or 1.02 to hit $61.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1312.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.31% to 3.6317, while EUR/ILS rose 0.28% to 4.1244.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.192.
