Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which rose 2.81% or 79 points to trade at 2892 at the close. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) added 1.99% or 0.9 points to end at 46.1 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was up 1.79% or 32 points to 1824 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.24% or 55 points to trade at 1243 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 3.61% or 249 points to end at 6652 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) shed 3.23% or 770 points to 23070.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 212 to 171 and 26 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.17% or 0.74 to $62.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.17% or 0.78 to hit $65.74 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1319.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.4742, while EUR/ILS fell 0.53% to 4.2386.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 90.54.
