Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 4.62% or 265 points to trade at 6004 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 2.28% or 1270 points to end at 56870 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 0.98% or 19 points to 1951 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.11% or 38 points to trade at 895 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 3.48% or 11.0 points to end at 305.0 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) shed 2.66% or 75 points to 2745.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 186 and 44 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.57% or 0.33 to $58.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $67.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 13.80 to trade at $1295.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.18% to 3.6050, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 4.0736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.745.
