Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.75% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 3.46% or 65 points to trade at 1946 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.66% or 4.7 points to end at 181.1 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 2.37% or 147 points to 6347 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.76% or 50 points to trade at 1760 in late trade. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) declined 1.24% or 0.6 points to end at 47.8 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) shed 0.65% or 330 points to 50680.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 195 to 194 and 34 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.29% or 0.17 to $57.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $63.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1294.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.5008, while EUR/ILS fell 0.24% to 4.1547.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.14.
