Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TASE:HARL), which rose 2.99% or 90.00 points to trade at 3,096.00 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 2.76% or 1,840.00 points to end at 68,510.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was up 2.51% or 150.00 points to 6,131.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which lost 4.08% or 30.90 points to trade at 727.00 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) declined 2.61% or 39.00 points to end at 1,456.00 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) shed 2.43% or 128.00 points to 5,132.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 278 to 165 and 96 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.05% or 0.04 to $83.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.12 to hit $86.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.35 to trade at $2,334.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.77, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 4.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 105.46.
