Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Partner (TA:PTNR), which rose 11.23% or 206 points to trade at 2041 at the close. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) added 8.13% or 270 points to end at 3590 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 3.50% or 960 points to 28400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.53% or 61 points to trade at 1668 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.29% or 12.0 points to end at 513.0 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 1.94% or 91 points to 4606.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 201 to 194 and 22 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.43% or 0.24 to $56.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.05 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.48 to trade at $1281.78 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.13% to 3.5216, while EUR/ILS rose 0.06% to 4.1307.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.95.
