Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.84% or 48 points to trade at 1299 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 3.32% or 13.6 points to end at 423.0 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was up 2.02% or 159 points to 8046 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 17.96% or 1196 points to trade at 5465 in late trade. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) declined 0.96% or 0.4 points to end at 41.2 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) shed 0.33% or 60 points to 17870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 255 to 99 and 43 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.04% or 0.70 to $66.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.63% or 0.49 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1232.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.7025, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 4.2152.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 96.38.
