Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.40% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 3.20% or 74 points to trade at 2390 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 3.07% or 500 points to end at 16800 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was up 2.96% or 244 points to 8477 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 11.32% or 3090 points to trade at 24200 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 0.36% or 31 points to end at 8566 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 0.28% or 16 points to 5731.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 223 to 163 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.94% or 0.58 to $61.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.57 to hit $71.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1225.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.6669, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 4.1903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.02.
