Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 2.64% or 40 points to trade at 1555 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.64% or 1820 points to end at 70820 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 2.37% or 49 points to 2115 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which lost 3.60% or 710 points to trade at 19000 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.15% or 320 points to end at 14560 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) shed 1.69% or 127 points to 7403.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 233 to 152 and 30 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.16% or 0.10 to $62.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $65.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.43% or 18.90 to trade at $1338.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.22% to 3.4629, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.2964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 89.55.
