Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 2.80% or 46.00 points to trade at 1,689.00 at the close. Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) added 2.13% or 88.00 points to end at 4,210.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 1.79% or 42.00 points to 2,394.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which lost 2.78% or 72.00 points to trade at 2,520.00 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 2.71% or 14.50 points to end at 520.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) shed 2.23% or 106.00 points to 4,654.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 240 to 213 and 85 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.86% or 1.28 to $70.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.76% or 1.28 to hit $74.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 18.00 to trade at $2,669.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.71, while EUR/ILS fell 0.72% to 3.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 106.66.
