Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 3.11% or 55 points to trade at 1825 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 2.70% or 13.5 points to end at 514.0 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 2.68% or 670 points to 25650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.76% or 62 points to trade at 2181 in late trade. Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) declined 2.23% or 480.0 points to end at 21010.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 2.22% or 1710 points to 75250.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 219 to 184 and 5 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.59% or 0.28 to $47.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.79% or 0.40 to hit $50.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 13.68 to trade at $1276.72 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.89% to 3.6153, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.2365.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.84.
