Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Pudjiadi Prestige Tbk (JK:PUDP), which rose 34.67% or 69.00 points to trade at 268.00 at the close. Newport Marine Services PT Tbk (JK:BOAT) added 33.77% or 52.00 points to end at 206.00 and Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Jasa Mitra Abadi Tbk PT (JK:JMAS) was up 23.89% or 27.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Exploitasi Energi Indonesia (JK:CNKO), which lost 14.29% or 1.00 points to trade at 6.00 in late trade. Diamond Citra Propertindo PT (JK:DADA) declined 12.50% or 1.00 points to end at 7.00 and Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI) shed 11.20% or 70.00 points to 555.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 345 to 261 and 221 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.22% or 0.15 to $69.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $73.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 5.40 to trade at $2,625.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.33% to 15,891.05, while AUD/IDR rose 0.16% to 10,362.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 106.37.
