Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Financials and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite gained 1.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional (JK:JSPT), which rose 24.88% or 250.00 points to trade at 1255.00 at the close. Trikomsel Oke Tbk (JK:TRIO) added 24.00% or 48 points to end at 248 and Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS) was up 22.83% or 21 points to 113 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pudjiadi & Sons Tbk (JK:PNSE), which lost 24.26% or 245 points to trade at 765 in late trade. Hotel Sahid Jaya Tbk (JK:SHID) declined 17.14% or 480 points to end at 2320 and Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk (JK:TIRT) shed 14.86% or 11 points to 63.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 248 to 129 and 108 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.17% or 0.12 to $68.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.45% or 0.35 to hit $77.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 7.70 to trade at $1209.00 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.54% to 14899.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.01% to 10708.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.09.
