Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Financials and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Mahaka Media Tbk (JK:ABBA), which rose 34.44% or 31 points to trade at 121 at the close. Akbar Indomakmur Stimec Tbk (JK:AIMS) added 31.43% or 55 points to end at 230 and Destinasi Tirta Nusantara Tbk (JK:PDES) was up 25.00% or 270 points to 1350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO), which lost 23.13% or 37 points to trade at 123 in late trade. MD Pictures Tbk PT (JK:FILM) declined 20.39% or 315 points to end at 1230 and Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) shed 19.44% or 28 points to 116.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 149 and 111 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.44% or 1.01 to $69.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.79% or 0.63 to hit $79.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1210.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.22% to 14827.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.28% to 10606.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.89.
