Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Financial Services and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.75%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.46%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG), which rose 3.93% or 5.02 points to trade at 132.90 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n) added 3.29% or 1.14 points to end at 35.83 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p) was up 2.31% or 1.60 points to 70.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN), which lost 1.89% or 0.51 points to trade at 26.27 in late trade. Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) declined 1.56% or 7.50 points to end at 473.50 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:BMWG) shed 1.12% or 0.86 points to 75.78.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which rose 5.98% to 2.96, Traton SE (ETR:8TRA) which was up 3.64% to settle at 29.90 and Hypoport AG (ETR:HYQGn) which gained 3.35% to close at 283.60.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 3.28% to 8.92 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which lost 2.49% to settle at 38.75 and Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was down 2.11% to 62.60 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which rose 5.33% to 93.90, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:EUZG) which was up 2.95% to settle at 41.94 and Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which gained 2.91% to close at 16.99.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was down 2.46% to 13.50 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which lost 2.11% to settle at 62.60 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which was down 2.09% to 131.00 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 364 to 247 and 24 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.31% to 17.64.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.42% or 37.60 to $2,676.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.76% or 0.58 to hit $75.27 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.54 to trade at $78.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.67.
