Investing.com – Germany equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.66%, while the MDAX index added 0.18%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 2.20% or 10.40 points to trade at 483.90 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) added 2.07% or 0.63 points to end at 31.05 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was up 1.61% or 2.14 points to 135.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p), which lost 2.03% or 1.44 points to trade at 69.54 in late trade. BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN) declined 1.46% or 0.69 points to end at 46.55 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) shed 0.61% or 0.16 points to 26.11.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which rose 1.89% to 36.65, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was up 1.88% to settle at 100.50 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which gained 1.79% to close at 82.45.
The worst performers were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which was down 3.30% to 87.94 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which lost 2.40% to settle at 37.82 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 2.12% to 12.91 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which rose 2.75% to 134.60, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was up 2.07% to settle at 31.05 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which gained 1.88% to close at 100.50.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 5.76% to 5.32 in late trade, Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG) which lost 2.86% to settle at 51.00 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 2.12% to 12.91 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 361 to 273 and 32 ended unchanged on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.24% to 16.69.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 13.15 to $2,663.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.36% or 1.78 to hit $73.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.19% or 1.73 to trade at $77.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
