Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.42% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 0.47% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.20 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) fell 0.97% or 0.10 points to end at 10.16 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 1.15% or 0.07 points to 6.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which lost 4.75% or 0.68 points to trade at 13.63 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 4.25% or 0.35 points to end at 7.79 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 3.65% or 2.20 points to 58.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 172 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.38% or 0.29 to $76.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.52% or 0.38 to hit $73.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 25.50 to trade at $2,444.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 102.48.
