Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 1.19% or 0.17 points to trade at 14.01 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.02% or 0.49 points to end at 48.45 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 0.83% or 0.08 points to 9.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 5.05% or 0.32 points to trade at 6.02 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 4.43% or 0.77 points to end at 16.51 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 3.86% or 0.47 points to 11.84.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 4.46% or 3.61 to $77.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.45% or 3.43 to hit $73.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.28% or 34.00 to trade at $2,632.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 102.31.
