Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.01% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 0.60% or 0.26 points to trade at 43.50 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.55% or 0.0400 points to end at 7.3000 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 0.33% or 0.02 points to 6.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.95% or 0.65 points to trade at 21.42 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.27% or 0.84 points to end at 36.16 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 2.16% or 1.20 points to 54.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 53 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.76% or 1.10 to $63.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.76% or 1.01 to hit $58.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.93% or 11.86 to trade at $1285.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1911, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8817.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 92.71.
