Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.57% or 0.180 points to trade at 7.195 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.17% or 0.60 points to end at 51.90 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.76% or 0.17 points to 22.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.45% or 0.2600 points to trade at 7.2850 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.66% or 0.90 points to end at 53.25 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.59% or 0.26 points to 16.14.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.64% or 0.40 to $62.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.48% or 0.27 to hit $56.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.30 to trade at $1256.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1783, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.61.
