Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.53% or 0.3250 points to trade at 7.4950 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.89% or 0.53 points to end at 28.61 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.76% or 0.29 points to 16.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which lost 1.55% or 0.27 points to trade at 17.16 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 0.95% or 0.25 points to end at 26.17 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.94% or 0.50 points to 52.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.41% or 0.26 to $63.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.52% or 0.30 to hit $57.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1262.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1820, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.8854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.23.
