Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 2.44% or 0.63 points to trade at 26.42 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.41% or 0.55 points to end at 23.35 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.40% or 0.240 points to 10.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which lost 5.93% or 1.77 points to trade at 28.08 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.08% or 0.005 points to end at 6.595 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) gained 0.03% or 0.01 points to 30.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 65 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.24% or 0.15 to $63.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.68% or 0.39 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 8.40 to trade at $1265.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1801, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 93.10.
