Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 2.61% or 1.14 points to trade at 44.78 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.49% or 0.50 points to end at 20.56 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was up 2.08% or 1.80 points to 88.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 1.41% or 0.08 points to trade at 5.24 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 1.11% or 0.10 points to end at 8.93 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 0.84% or 0.09 points to 10.61.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 81 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 5.65% or 4.27 to $71.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 5.75% or 4.13 to hit $67.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.50 to trade at $2,755.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.15.
