Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.56% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.22 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.27% or 0.38 points to end at 17.15 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 2.00% or 0.68 points to 34.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which lost 7.75% or 2.12 points to trade at 25.22 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.28% or 0.05 points to end at 4.00 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) shed 0.45% or 0.40 points to 88.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 69 and 33 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.57% or 0.45 to $78.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.67% or 0.51 to hit $75.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 36.80 to trade at $2,676.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 102.68.
