Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.28% or 0.70 points to trade at 31.45 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.23% or 0.1100 points to end at 5.0460 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.05% or 0.097 points to 4.827 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.90% or 0.164 points to trade at 5.482 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.56% or 0.145 points to end at 9.135 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) shed 0.81% or 0.04 points to 5.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 67 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.05% or 0.82 to $78.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.11% or 0.76 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1203.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1668, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.19.
