Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.91% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Conconcret (CN:CIC), which rose 2.94% or 10.0 points to trade at 350.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 2.33% or 90.0 points to end at 3945.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.10% or 340.0 points to 31360.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA), which lost 4.12% or 580.0 points to trade at 13500.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 3.86% or 65.0 points to end at 1620.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 3.37% or 95.0 points to 2720.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 6 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.49% or 1.50 to $102.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 2.59% or 60.00 to hit $2257.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.50 to trade at $1266.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.77% to 3243.25, while BRL/COP rose 2.36% to 844.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 95.755.
