Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.53% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Promigas (CN:PMG), which rose 5.72% or 330.0 points to trade at 6100.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 4.40% or 270.0 points to end at 6400.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 2.27% or 200.0 points to 9000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 6.98% or 21.0 points to trade at 280.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 3.77% or 145.0 points to end at 3700.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 3.01% or 8.0 points to 258.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.66% or 0.80 to $120.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 2.29% or 50.00 to hit $2137.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1235.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.94% to 3150.40, while BRL/COP rose 0.18% to 842.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 96.10.
