Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.40% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (CN:ETB), which rose 6.76% or 23.0 points to trade at 363.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 0.30% or 80.0 points to end at 26600.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 7700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 6.25% or 25.0 points to trade at 375.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.89% or 280.0 points to end at 9400.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 2.62% or 920.0 points to 34220.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 1 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 2.12% or 2.15 to $103.50 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.69% or 16.00 to hit $2305.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.50% to 3105.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.71% to 749.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.06.
