Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.66% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which rose 7.27% or 80.0 points to trade at 1180.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 4.24% or 370.0 points to end at 9100.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 3.29% or 65.0 points to 2040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 9.82% or 27.0 points to trade at 248.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 7.35% or 275.0 points to end at 3465.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 2.31% or 300.0 points to 12700.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 4.88% or 5.50 to $118.20 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.39% or 31.00 to hit $2265.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.86% or 22.60 to trade at $1234.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.54% to 3199.60, while BRL/COP rose 0.06% to 865.20.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.83% at 96.10.
